IU Indianapolis Athletics Hall of Fame
Former softball standout Roni Patterson was named to the IU Indy Athletics Hall of Fame in the Class of 2026. Patterson finished her career as the program's leader in homeruns (40) while breaking the program records for runs scored (151), runs batted in (149), total bases (397) and slugging percentage (.631) in the Division I-era.
She was a four-time all-league honoree, including earning first team nods on two different occasions. She was a three-time All-Tournament Team selection and two-time NFCA All-Central Region honoree.
Patterson batted .348 for her career including two seasons in which she batted better than .370. Her senior season, she helped the Jaguars to an 11-6 mark in Summit League play, earning a share of a the regular season title and a tournament runner-up finish. The Jaguars later earned a postseason nod to the National Invitational Softball Championship.
