INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indianapolis softball program has announced the addition of Kennedy Krull as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season. Krull joins the Jaguars with eight years of coaching experience across the collegiate and high school levels.
 
Krull most recently spent two seasons at Georgia Southern University, serving as an assistant coach and director of operations for the Eagles. She worked primarily with the outfielders while also assisting with the infield and hitting. In her operations role, Krull oversaw camps, fundraising initiatives, alumni engagement and team travel.
 
Prior to and during her time at Georgia Southern, Krull spent five summers from 2020-24 playing and coaching in the Florida Gulf Coast League, a summer league for collegiate softball players. During her time in the league, she gained experience helping college athletes navigate the transfer portal while providing opportunities for players to build confidence and develop through in-game experience.
 
Following her collegiate playing career, she served as the varsity head coach for both the softball and girls basketball programs at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School in Bourbon, Indiana, from 2021-24 while teaching high school history.
 
Krull took over both Triton programs at just 22 years old and was responsible for overseeing their development from the youth through varsity levels. Her duties included developing coaching staffs, hosting camps, managing schedules, overseeing equipment and uniforms and supporting student-athletes academically.
 
A native of Indiana, Krull played collegiately at Huntington University, where she was a four-year team captain. She earned her bachelor's degree in History Education from Huntington in 2021 before earning a master's degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern in 2026.
 
Krull graduated from Whitko High School in 2017 after competing as a three-sport athlete. During her prep career, she made school history by becoming the first female athlete from Whitko to be named an Indiana All-Star in any sport.
 
Krull is set to join the Jaguars prior to the 2026-27 season.
