Kennedy Krull joined the IU Indy softball staff prior to the 2026-27 season and brings 8 years of coaching experience across many levels.
Most recently, she spent the last two years on staff at Georgia Southern University, where she served as an assistant coach and the director of operations. Although working primarily with outfielders, she assisted with infield and hitting during her two seasons with the Eagles. In her role as director of operations, she was in charge of camps, fundraising, alumni engagement, and travel arrangements.
Before joining the staff at Georgia Southern, Krull spent five summers (2020-2024) playing and coaching in the Florida Gulf Coast League, a summer league for college softball players. There she gained experience in helping college athletes navigate the transfer portal and gain confidence through in-game experience in the summer.
After finishing her playing career, Krull served as the Varsity Head Coach of the softball and girls basketball teams at the school she also taught high school history at, Triton Jr. Sr. High School in Bourbon, IN from 2021-2024. Becoming the head coach of both of these programs at 22 years old, Krull gained multitudes of experience running each of those programs from youth through the varsity level, developing coaching staffs, hosting camps, managing schedules, overseeing equipment and uniforms, and supporting the student-athletes academically.
Krull was a four-year team captain at Huntington University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in History Education in 2021. She has also earned her Master’s Degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University in 2026.
Krull graduated from Whitko High School in 2017, where she was a three sport athlete. Krull etched her name in the record books when she became the very first female athlete to be named an Indiana All-Star in any sport in school history.
