ST. LOUIS - Five members of the IU Indianapolis men's track squad took to action on Thursday (Mar. 26), competing in the 800m and 3,000m steeplechase events on day one of the WashU. Distance Carnival at WashU's Francis Field.
Sophomore
Alec Hueftle led the way in his initial steeple of the season with
Nolan King not far off his pace. Hueftle spun a time of 9:27.07, finishing fourth in his heat, while King put down a personal best time of 9:32.38. Freshman
Evan Farmer ran his first career steeple with a time of 9:57.97.
In the 800m event, sophomore
Nick Cook made his season debut with a time of 1:55.09 while
Joey Ashman ran a time of 2:00.01.
The Jaguars will return to action on Friday with athletes competing at both WashU. and the Marian Knight Open.
