NEW ORLEANS - The IU Indianapolis men's track and field team ranked No. 6 in the country this past season with a team grade point average of 3.65, easily topping the Horizon League and the Division I programs from the state of Indiana. Subsequently, head coach Justin Amburgy's squad earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the year. 

The Jaguars trailed only Vanderbilt, Yale, Brown, Creighton and Dartmouth in the team standings and were one of 10 programs to top 3.60 as a team. 

Last season's squad ranked No. 10 nationally in team grade point average. In order to be eligible for All-Academic Team honors, the cumulative grade point average for all individuals must be at 3.0 or above.
