INDIANAPOLIS – The entire month of September was spent on the road for the IUPUI volleyball team and the Jaguars will return home for the first time since Aug. 31, this weekend when it hosts a pair of Summit League matches against Western Illinois on Oct. 4 and Omaha on Oct. 5.

Friday night's match against the Leathernecks is set to begin at 7 p.m. at The Jungle, and is the first event of White Out Weekend. Fans are encouraged to show up to The Jungle wearing white and free #IMAJAGUAR T-shirts will be given away while supplies last. The weekend wraps up on Saturday, Oct. 5, when the Mavericks and Jaguars square off at 5 p.m.

"After 14 straight matches away from home, it will be nice to be home for a few weekends and play some matches in front of our home crowd," head coach Steve Payne said. "We had a tough weekend to start league play last weekend, but we're looking forward to taking on both Western Illinois and Omaha at home."

Kaitlyn Hickey led the IUPUI offense during the opening weekend of Summit League play averaging 3.86 kills per set in addition to ranking second on the team in digs with 3.56 dps. Beth Howard led the team in digs during the opening weekend and leads the conference in digs in overall and conference-only matches averaging 4.98 dps and 5.78 dps, respectively.

The Jags enter the weekend as winners of their last 10 home Summit League matches, which spans back to the 2011 campaign. Last season, IUPUI went 8-0 at home in league matches.

Western Illinois comes into Friday's match-up with a 7-9 overall record and a 1-0 Summit League record after starting league play with a three-set win over Omaha last weekend. Samantha Fournier and Ann Miller are the top two attackers for the Leathernecks averaging 3.66 and 3.57 kps, respectively. Serving has been a strength for WIU through the first half of the season as it has collected 23 more aces than its opponents. Leading the charge behind the service line is Kaitlynn Novak and her Summit League-leading 0.43 sa/s.

Omaha owns a 5-11 mark and 0-1 league record going into the second weekend of conference action. Kelley Wollak is the team's top attacker averaging 2.49 kps, but the Mavericks' strong suit is their blocking. They average 2.50 blocks per set, which is second in the conference, and they are led in that category by Megan Schmale's 1.36 bps, which is tops in the league.
