INDIANAPOLIS – IU Indy volleyball's Jillian Tippmann has been named #HLVB Player of the Week after leading the Jags to a 2-1 weekend at the Hampton Inn Invite.
 
The sophomore star led the Jags averaging 4.42 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .366, leading the Horizon League in points with 5.04 per set over the three matches combined.
 
Tippmann totaled 13 kills on .364 hitting with one block, two service aces and four digs in the Jags' sweep over Ohio. She then followed that up with a double-double with 21 kills on .395 hitting and 13 digs with two aces in the Jags' match against Marshall. The opposite finished the weekend with 19 kills, five digs, two blocks and an ace in IU Indy's 3-2 win over Akron.
 
Tippmann sits in fourth in the league for kills with 3.75 kills per set so far this season. The Jags will next be in action when they travel to West Lafayette to face the Purdue Boilermakers tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 PM.
