YORKTOWN, Ind. - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team will be back in action this week as the Jaguars participate in Ball State's Brittany Kelly Classic at The Players Club at Woodland Trails on Monday (Sept. 14) and Tuesday (Sept. 15). Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. 

For a second straight event, head coach Jamie Broce will get a look at all eight players on the roster in the 5-count-4 format and three individual entries. Sophomore Olivia Aronhalt is coming off a season-opening 151 (71-80) at the YSU Roseann Schwartz Invitational at Buhl Park as the Jaguars placed fifth of 11 teams competing. 

Both Li (Sherry) Xia and Janelle Garcia finished the tournament at 155 and junior Cassidy Ayres finished at 159. After a morning round 310 at that event, the Jaguars followed with a round of 305 in the afternoon, keyed by Ayres' final round 74. Aronhalt's opening round 71 is the best round to date by a Jaguar this season. 

Last season, the Jaguars carded rounds of 313, 303 and 309 at the Brittany Kelly Classic, ultimately finishing fifth of eight teams competing at 925. Xia shot 229 (74-74-81) to finish tied for 14th and Aronhalt finished at 235 (86-75-74) in her second collegiate entry. 

THE COURSE
The Players Club at Woodland Trails will play par 72 and 6,291 yards this week. The course is proclaimed as the best track in East Central Indiana and voted among the top public access courses in the state.

THE FIELD
The 14-team field includes Ashland, Ball State, Campbell, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, IU Indy, Lindenwood, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Southern Indiana, UIC, Valparaiso and Western Illinois.

QUOTABLE
"The greens were pretty small, so hitting them consistently was one of the hardest parts of the round. I was able to hit almost every green, which gave me a lot of good opportunities to score," Aronhalt said following the season-opening event at Youngstown State.

LAST TIME OUT
The Jaguars played fifth of 11 teams at the one-day, 36-hole YSU Roseann Schwartz Invitational, finishing the tournament at 615 (310-305). Aronhalt led the way at 151 (71-80), tying for 17th overall and both Li (Sherry) Xia and Janelle Garcia finished tied for 27th at 155.
