INDIANAPOLIS - IU Indianapolis freshman women's golfer
Emma Frauhiger and sophomore
Lexi Stuart were both named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team earlier this week, based on their work on the course and in the classroom. The duo were among 25 Horizon League women's golfers to be recognized.
In order to be honored, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have played 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled rounds.
Frauhiger played 27 of the team's 30 rounds as a true freshman, registering an 83.52 stroke average in her rookie season. She carded a low round of 76 on two different occasions, including as part of a 20th place finish at the WMU Bronco Classic on Oct. 6-7. Frauhiger registered a perfect 4.0 grade point average in her first season while majoring in exercise science.
Stuart played 29 of the team's 30 rounds in her first season with the program with an 82.66 scoring average. She had a low round of 77 in the final round of the EKU Colonel Classic on Mar. 31. Academically, Stuart has maintained a 3.77 grade point average while majoring in business.
