INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis Athletics Department and head golf coach Jamie Broce announced the hiring of Becky Williams as an assistant coach with both the men's and women's programs. Williams recently completed a standout playing career at DePauw University where she was a three-time All-American for the Tigers.

"We're excited about adding Becky to our staff," Broce said. "She's a really accomplished player and we're hoping some of that winning will rub off on the players. She knows how to navigate courses and grind out scores as a player and I think that'll be beneficial to our student-athletes. She brings a fresh perspective and different set of eyes to the program and that's only going to make us better.

"She's super mature and we really enjoyed getting to know her better through the hiring process. Now we're excited to all get to work."

"I want to thank the IU Indianapolis Athletic Department and Coach Broce for this incredible opportunity," Williams said. "I am excited to build meaningful relationships with the staff, players, and university community while contributing to the continued success of the IU Indy golf program."

Williams was named DePauw's recipient of the Amy Hasbrook Award in 2026 as the top senior student-athlete competing on a DePauw women's team. She finished her playing career as DePauw's career leader in scoring average (73.76) and tournament wins (14) while winning the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year award all three seasons. She was the conference tournament medalist in 2024 and 2025 and was the 2023 Ohio Athletic Conference medalist while playing at Otterbein.

She was a 14-time NCAC Athlete of the Week and set DePauw's record for single-season scoring average at 72.84 in 2025.

Academically, she graduated summa cum laude and was a Chi Alpha Sigma honor society member. Additionally, she served on DePauw's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Diverse Athletes Association.
