Jamie Broce was named Head Golf Coach in July 2017, becoming the fourth coach in the men's program's history and second coach in women's history. Broce brings a long history of coaching, teaching, recruiting and academic success to the Jaguars, following stints on staff at Toledo and Indiana.

Since taking over, all Broce has done is win. He's collected back-to-back Horizon League Championships with the women's program, leading IUPUI to their first-ever NCAA Regional appearances in 2018 and 2019. In two short seasons, he's coached seven all-league performers and three Horizon League Players of the Year (Aneta Abrahamova, Marion Debove & Austin Crowder). He was voted the league's Men's Coach of the Year in 2019 by his peers. 

All total, his teams have collected seven tournament wins (four women's, three men's) in his first two seasons in Indianapolis. 

Broce was at the helm of the Toledo men's program for five seasons (2012-17), leading the Rockets to top three Mid-American Conference finishes in three of his five seasons and five tournament wins. His teams were elite in competition and in the classroom, evidenced by his 2016 squad posting a collective 3.76 grade point average. His teams were highlighted by three-time All-MAC honoree Chris Selfridge, who ranked among the top 100 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) and led the MAC in stroke average as a senior.

While at Toledo, he coached a MAC Player of the Year, two MAC Freshmen of the Year and six Academic All-MAC honorees.

Prior to his five years at Toledo, Broce spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Indiana University where he helped the Hoosiers compile an impressive track record. Indiana qualified for the NCAA Regionals each season during his tenure, including a second-place showing at the 2012 Big Ten Championships. IU was also ranked among the Top 40 nationally and received special academic recognition from the NCAA for finishing in the top 10 percent in the country in Academic Progress Rate (APR).

The Hoosiers picked up four tournament titles in 2011 after winning a pair of events in 2010. In his first season in Bloomington, IU cracked the national top-10 rankings for much of the year, ascending as high as No. 4 in the country. The Hoosiers also won two team titles that season, winning the inaugural Big Ten Match Play Championship and the adidas Hoosier Invitational by an incredible 27 strokes over the second-place team. 

As a player at Ball State, Broce posted a school-record 73.6 career stroke average and concluded his BSU career by earning GCAA Third-Team All-America, MAC Player of Year and MAC Sportsman of Year honors as a senior with a program-best 71.7 average. As a junior, he received the Ben Hogan Award (as the nation's top golf scholar-athlete) after carding a 72.8 mark, the second-best average in school history. A three-time All-MAC and Academic All-MAC honoree, Broce also shared medalist honors at the conference championship in his sophomore campaign.

A cum laude graduate with a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average, Broce was a 1999 First-Team At-Large Academic All-American and a two-time GCAA Academic All-America Scholar recipient (1998 & 1999). He captained the Cardinal golf team as a junior and senior en route to winning six college tournaments, including a school-record tying four in 1998-99. He was honored with the 1998 Ben Hogan Award as the nation's top golf scholar athlete and was named to Ball State's Hall of Fame in 2010. 

He immediately began playing professionally, garnering three top-four finishes on the Nationwide Tour (2005-07) and also was a part of the NGA Hooters Tour (2002-04, 2008). In 2000, Broce qualified and played in the PGA Greater Milwaukee Open.

In 2015, Broce represented Team USA against Great Britain and Ireland at the 27th PGA Cup, the premier international competition for club professionals between the PGA of America and The Professional Golfers' Association. Broce was one of 10 members of Team USA and competed for the Llandudno International Trophy at the CordeValle Golf Club. In the four-ball competition, he and teammate Bob Sowards secured a convincing 8&7 win to match the tourney-record victory margin set in 1990. He also competed in the 28th PGA Cup at Foxhills Club & Resort in Ottershaw, Surrey, England in September 2017. 

Broce qualified for the 2014 PGA Championship after a runner-up showing at the PGA Professional National Championship in Myrtle Beach. He has also qualified for the upcoming PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, to be played Aug. 7-13. Broce is also likely to compete as a member of the 10-man team in the 28th PGA Cup at Foxhills Club & Resort in September, based on his current standings.  

Broce prepped at nearby Ben Davis High School where he was the IHSAA state champion as a freshman and runner-up as a senior. He won the Indiana Boys' Junior Titles in 1992 and 1995.

Broce and his wife Darci have one daughter, Peyton, and a son, Preston.
