BATAVIA, Ohio - The IU Indianapolis men's golf team will compete in the NKU Jewell Invitational at Elks Run Golf Course this week, participating among the 14-team field on Monday (Apr. 6) and Tuesday (Apr. 7). The field includes eight other Horizon League schools, including host Northern Kentucky.
Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday for 36 holes of continuous play. The final round will begin on Tuesday morning.
THE COURSE
Elks Run Golf Course will play par 71 and 6,845 yards this week. Elks Run Golf Club is rated among the top 10 courses in Ohio and is a 4-Star rated facility by Golf Digest. It's also known as the best public golf facility in Cincinnati. The Greg Norman design takes advantage of the rolling hills and creeks to provide a course that works within its natural Midwest characteristics.
THE FIELD
The field consists of Bellarmine, Butler, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Green Bay, IU Indy Mercyhurst, Purdue Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Robert Morris and Youngstown State. In addition, both Miami (Ohio) and Xavier will enter b-team entries.

LAST TIME OUT
The Jaguars finished sixth of 12 teams at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis. The Jags carded rounds of 283, 290 and 283, paced by Boswell's 3-under 207 effort. Parmley closed at 2-over 212 and Kirsch shot 219 for the week.
