INDIANAPOLIS - IU Indianapolis junior Titus Boswell posted two rounds of 1-under 69 at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational on Monday (Mar. 30) and is tied for ninth overall at 2-under 138 ahead of Tuesday's final round at Highland Golf & Country Club. Collectively, the Jaguars are sixth among the 12-team field at 573 (283-290).

Boswell was one of 19 players among the 96-player field to finish day one under par.

"I played very solid today," Boswell said. "The putter was cold for more of the day but I was able to make a few in the second round. I would love to get off to a hot start tomorrow and try and climb the leaderboard a bit."

The morning round saw Boswell card a bogey free 69 while Keaton Parmley shot even par 70, mixing two birdies with two bogeys in his opening 18. Junior Brady Schier shot 1-over 71 with three birdies and Noah Kirsch shot 3-over 73 with 14 pars in round one. Freshman Jack Scudder had his opening round 77 discarded from the team scoring while senior Preston Broce was tops among the four individual entries at 2-over 72.

Round two was more volatile as the Jaguars found more birdie opportunities, but also carded more bogeys in the afternoon 18.

Boswell made five birdies in his second round 69 while Parmley made four as part of his 2-over 72. Kirsch had three birdies as part of his 4-over 74 and Schier opened his second round with three consecutive birdies as part of his 5-over 75.

Scudder notched a round of 79 while Noah Parsetich was the top individual in round two at 4-over 74, including five birdies. Greg Miller was just off his pace at 5-over 75.

Host Butler leads the field at 543 and SIUE is second at 552. Butler's Leo Zurovac leads the field at 9-under 131, fueled by his opening round, 8-under 62.

The Jaguars will be grouped with Evansville, Oakland and Youngstown State for Tuesday's finale, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
