RICHMOND, Ky. - The IU Indy Softball team will travel to Richmond, Kentucky, to compete in the EKU Invitational. On Thursday, March 5, they will take on Eastern Kentucky at 1:00 PM and Miami (Ohio) at 3:30 PM.

They will take on Miami a second time on Friday, March 6 at 5:30 PM. On Saturday, March 7 they will go head-to-head with Delaware State at 10:00 AM and Eastern Kentucky at 12:30 PM. IU Indy is currently 3-14 overall so far this season. The Jags most recent matchup was last night at Kentucky where they fell, 9-1.

IU Indy and Eastern Kentucky have gone head to two other times with the most recent being on March 4, 2006, when IU Indy fell 5-1. Eastern Kentucky is 7-10 overall so far this season with their most recent matchup on March 1, where they claimed a 3-0 victory against SIUE.

The Jags have competed against Miami (Ohio) nine times with the most recent matchup on March 30, 2022. At that game, the Jags fell 8-0. Miami is 14-4 overall so far this season and on a win streak of nine. Their most recent victory was on Feb. 28 against Missouri (8-2).

Delaware State is currently 3-6 overall and most recently competed at the Bulldog Invitational (Feb. 20-22) where they fell against Belmont 14-1, Sanford 1-0 and 10-2, and Mississippi State  19-1. Â

The Jags will start the weekend's matchups against Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, March 5 at 1:00 PM, which will be broadcasted on ESPN+. They will then take on Miami at 3:30 PM. Â They will compete against Miami a second time on Friday, March 6 at 5:30 PM. On Saturday, March 7 they will take on Delaware State at 10:00 AM and finish the weekend with a final game against Eastern Kentucky at 12:30 PM.
