INDIANAPOLIS — The IU Indy softball team continues its spring schedule this week as the Jaguars travel to Louisville, Kentucky to face Bellarmine on Thursday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m. before returning home to host Valparaiso in a doubleheader on Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the IU Indy Softball Field.

The Jaguars are coming off a weekend at the EKU Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky where IU Indy dropped a pair of games on the final day, falling 4-2 to Delaware State before suffering a 9-3 weather-shortened loss to host Eastern Kentucky. Paige McPhearson highlighted the Jaguars' offense in the loss to Delaware State, delivering a two-run double down the right-field line to tie the game in the second inning before the Hornets eventually pulled ahead.

IU Indy enters the week looking to find momentum as the team prepares for the start of Horizon League play. The Jaguars will aim to build consistency both at the plate and in the circle as they continue navigating a challenging early-season schedule.

Thursday's matchup at Bellarmine offers IU Indy an opportunity to reset before returning to Indianapolis for its first home games of the season. The Jaguars will look to generate offense early and limit mistakes defensively as they take on the Knights in Louisville.

IU Indy will then open its home schedule on Sunday with a doubleheader against Valparaiso. The Jaguars will host the Beacons at the IU Indy Softball Field with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m., followed by the second game at 3:00 p.m.

Thursday's contest at Bellarmine is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start in Louisville, while Sunday's home opener against Valparaiso begins at 1:00 p.m. in Indianapolis.
