BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The IU Indy softball team will travel to Kentucky to compete in the Hilltopper Spring Fling. The Jags will take on Ball State at 1:30 PM and Western Kentucky at 6:30 PM on Friday, Feb. 27. They will then take on Illinois at 11:00 AM and Ball State at 6:30 PM on Saturday, Feb. 28. They will play Western Kentucky on Sunday, March 1, at 1:30 PM. The Jags will then travel to Lexington, KY, to take on the University of Kentucky on Wednesday, March 4, at 5:00 PM. IU Indy is currently 3-8 overall so far this season.
 
Ball State is currently 4-4 overall so far this season. They fell in their most recent matchup against Kansas City 1-4. IU Indy and Ball State have gone head-to-head on 13 different occasions. The most recent on Apr. 12, 2022, where the Jags won 8-3 against the Cardinals.
 
IU Indy and Western Kentucky have faced off seven times. The most recent on Feb. 29, 2020, where the Jags fell 4-12 against the Hilltoppers. Western Kentucky is currently 10-3 so far this season. They are currently on a winning streak of 5 games. Their most recent matchup was against the Western Michigan where they won 8-4.
 
Illinois is currently 5-9 overall so far this season. They recently competed in the Raleigh Times where they fell to NC State (0-4) and Akron (2-9). They claimed victory against Akron (4-1) and Providence (11-2). IU Indy and Illinois have gone head-to-head seven times. On most recent being on Mar. 19, 2019, the Jags fell 4-9.
 
IU Indy has faced off against the University of Kentucky two times. The most recent matchup was on Feb. 14, 2015, where IU Indy fell 4-9. The Kentucky Wildcats are currently 12-4 overall this season and on a winning streak of six games. They won their most recent matchup against the Indiana State Sycamores 8-0 on Feb. 22, 2026.
