INDIANAPOLIS – IU Indy track and field senior Wini Barnett has been named this week's 92c Athlete of the Week following her standout performance at the Heartland Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 14).

Barnett ran a personal-best time of 2:14.79 in the 800 meters, winning her heat and moving up to No. 5 in the Horizon League in the event this season. The senior from Warsaw, Indiana delivered one of the top performances of her career, continuing to climb the conference rankings as the indoor season progresses.

Later in the meet, Barnett anchored IU Indy's 4x400 relay team, helping the group finish just one second shy of a school record. Her strong closing leg kept the Jaguars in contention and capped off an impressive day on the track.

This marks Barnett's first 92c Athlete of the Week honor this season. Barnett and the Jaguars will continue indoor competition as they prepare for the upcoming meet at the ISU open in Terre Haute on February 21.
