INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indy softball team heads into a new week as they take on Oakland in a three-game series beginning on April18. The Jags are coming off a dominant weekend where they swept Youngstown State in a three-games series, improving their record to 10-8 in the conference standings.

Junior Molly Kable dominated for the Jags as she went 8-for-11 on the weekend. Kable knocked in six RBI along with scoring six runs. Freshman Reese Rosebaum also had a strong weekend going 6-for-10 from the plate. Rosenbaum tallied up three RBI and scored one run. 

The Jags had a strong presence on the pitching side as well. Lily Roush, Callie Dickerson, and Clara Phariss all earned wins over the weekend. In the past six appearances freshman Dickerson has allowed zero earned runs in 17.0 innings pitched. In game one on Friday, Roush threw a seven-inning shutout, allowing five hits, striking out three and giving up zero walks. 

IU Indy will kick off game one of the doubleheader on Friday, April 18 at 1:00 PM. 

They follow that up with a single game on Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 PM for senior day. Senior day festivities will begin shortly before the game to honor the four seniors graduating.
