PORTAGE, Mich. - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team wrapped up play at the WMU Bronco Fall Classic on Tuesday (Oct. 7), carding a final round 322 at Moors Golf Course. The Jaguars finished the tournament at 950 (315-313-322), placing sixth overall.
Freshman
Li (Sherry) Xia earned a top-10 finish, placing seventh overall at 231 (76-75-80) for the week.
Sophomore
Lexi Stuart was the team's low score on Tuesday with a 7-over 79 while both Xia and
Yanah Rolston shot 8-over 80. Freshman
Emma Frauhiger closed at 11-over 83 and classmate
Olivia Aronhalt shot 15-over 87. Sophomore
Alexandra Chiew registered a 9-over 81.
Rolston finished just outside the top 10, tying for 13th overall at 235 (75-80-80) and Frauhiger tied for 20th at 238 (79-76-83).
As a team, IU Indy tied for second among the field with 19 birdies, led by Xia's six. Both Rolston and Frauhiger finished the event with five birdies each.
Dayton's Kylee Heidemann collected medalist honors at 3-over 219, winning the tournament by six shots.
The Jaguars return to action on Oct. 13-14 when they participate in the Terrier Intercollegiate in Spartanburg, S.C.
