Yanah Rolston carded a final round 80 at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional on Wednesday (May 13), closing her 54-hole tournament at 238 (77-81-80). Rolston ultimately tied for 57th overall of 69 players who competed.
After starting the day with three straight bogeys, Rolston notched a birdie on the par 4 No. 13 ahead of making back-to-back pars. She started her second nine with a birdie on No. 1 and later reeled off five straight pars late in the round.
Rolston finished the event with four birdies and 26 pars over 54 holes.
"It's been a surreal month. The excitement of conference, the senior feelings and then going to Regionals," Rolston said. "It's been such a fun experience this month and the last four years. I am so grateful for the team's support and the coaches' efforts. It was a fun run."
No. 2 USC, No. 29 Ohio State, No. 10 Duke, No. 32 Northwestern and No. 48 Texas Tech all advanced to the NCAA National Championships as the top five finishing teams at the regional site. Northwestern's Ashley Yun earned medalist honors at 5-under 208, winning by a single shot. Minnesota's Isabella McCauley earned an individual invite to nationals, finishing at 210.
Rolston closes her IU Indy career with 97 career rounds played and a 79.46 scoring average, ranking No. 10 on the program's all-time list. Her 97 career rounds played leave her tied for seventh on the program's all-time list in that category.
