INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indy volleyball team was named a 2024 AVCA Team Academic honoree. The Jags were one of more than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
 
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) represents women's volleyball, men's volleyball, and beach volleyball coaches, and works to increase exposure and recognition for the sport of volleyball.
 
IU Indy was one of six Horizon League schools honored, including Oakland, Robert Morris, Green Bay, Youngstown State and Wright State.
 
The Jaguars kick off the 2024-25 season with an exhibition in the Jungle against UIndy on August 24.
