INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Madeleine Pape was named Horizon League Golfer of the Week after recorded a fifth-place finish at the EKU Colonial Classic.
 
The senior from Fort Wayne, Indiana turned in a team-high five birdies in Monday's action at the Colonial Classic. She opened the tournament with a 1-under 71, making back-to-back birdies midway through her round to account for her scoring. Aside from a bogey on her fifth hole of the day, she was otherwise clean in the morning round.
 
Since Tuesday's finale was washed out, Pape finished in fifth overall at 3-over 147 (71-76).
 
This mark's Pape's first weekly award of the season. The IUPUI women's golf team will next host the Lady Jaguar Invitational at Plum Creek Golf Club on April 13-14.
