RICHMOND, Ky. - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team will be back in action this week when the Jaguars participate in the EKU Colonel Classic at the University Club at Arlington. The 5-count-4 format will consist of 36 holes on Monday (Mar. 30) and a final round on Tuesday (Mar. 31). The Jaguars are coming off their best showing of the year, finishing third at the NKU Julie Invitational in Batavia, Ohio, carding 942 for the event. 

Both freshman Li (Sherry) Xia and senior Yanah Rolston earned top-10 finishes as Xia finished second overall at 224 (73-75-76). Rolston checked in at 229 (81-75-73) and sophomore Cassidy Ayres finished at 241. Collectively, the Jaguars have a 317.27 scoring average and a pair of top-five finishes while Xia tops the lineup at 76.87. Rolston is next in line at 79.04 and Ayres is third on the squad at 79.33, having played just nine rounds after missing the fall due to injury. 

This week, freshman Olivia Aronhalt and sophomore Lexi Stuart will fill out the lineup while senior Reagan Sohn will play as an individual. 

QUOTABLE
"Conditions were pretty tough the first day. I was able to put together a decent second round. The third round was a steady day for me. I was able to save some good pars and get some birdies to drop. The team gave it their all, despite the cold and windy conditions," Rolston said following the NKU Julie Invitational. 

THE COURSE
The University Club at Arlington is EKU's home course and boasts one of the region's finest 18-hole golf courses located on 200 picturesque acres with rolling hills, mature trees, and beautiful water features. The playing conditions are consistently the best in Madison county and among the best in Central Kentucky. 

THE FIELD
The 10-team field includes Akron, Bellarmine, Butler, Eastern Kentucky, IU Indy, Marshall, Northern Kentucky, Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana and Youngstown State.

The Jaguars placed 3rd of 12 teams at the NKU Julie Invitational on Mar. 23-24 with a 54-hole 942. Xia tied for second-place overall at 224 and Rolston also earned a top-10 finish, placing sixth at 229.

The Jaguars will wrap up the regular season by hosting the Lady Jaguar Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 18 at the Trophy Club in Lebanon.
