BATAVIA, Ohio - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team finished tied for third among the 12-team field at this week's NKU Julie Invitational on Tuesday (Mar. 24) carding a final round 305 at Elks Run Golf Club. The Jaguars' final round 305 was second among the field on Tuesday and helped the Jags climb to a final score of 942 (320-317-305). 

Freshman Li (Sherry) Xia finished tied for second overall at 224 (73-75-76) and senior Yanah Rolston placed sixth among the 70-player field at 229 (81-75-73). Rolston and Xia keyed the final round 305, with help from sophomore Cassidy Ayres' final round, 5-over 77 and a final round 79 from rookie Olivia Aronhalt. 

Rolston had a team-high three birdies on Tuesday while Xia and Ayres made two apiece. 

"Conditions were pretty tough the first day," Rolston said. "I was able to put together a decent second round. The third round was a steady day for me. I was able to save some good pars and get some birdies to drop. The team gave it their all, despite the cold and windy conditions."

Sophomore Lexi Stuart carded a round of 8-over 80 on Tuesday as the team's top individual entrant. 

Oakland won the team title at 913, clearing second-place Green Bay by 23 shots. The Jags and NKU finished tied at 942 each. OU's Olivia Hemmila earned medalist honors at 221. 

The Jaguars will return to action on Mar. 30-31 at the EKU Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky.
