STARKVILLE, Miss. – The IUPUI softball teams opens up the 2024 season this weekend when they travel to Mississippi State for The Snowman: Alex Wilcox Memorial Tournament.
 
The Jaguars will open the four-game weekend against UAB on Friday, February 9 at 3:00 PM ET. IUPUI will then face host Mississippi State later that day at 8:00 PM ET.
 
On Saturday, the Jags will face both UAB and Mississippi State again. The Jags and UAB are set for a 11:00 AM ET first pitch then IUPUI will face Mississippi State at 5:00 PM ET.
 
The Snowman was previously known as the February Freezer, but it was renamed following the tragic passing of Alex Wilcox, former Mississippi State athlete, after her battle with ovarian cancer. The Bulldogs now utilize the annual event to raise awareness of the disease and its symptoms.
 
Tickets are required for the event. The Jags' games against Mississippi State will be aired on ESPN+.
