SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The IU Indianapolis women's golf team carded rounds of 333 and 326 on day one of the Terrier Intercollegiate at Carolina Country Club on Monday (Oct. 21), ended day one in 12th place overall at 659. 

Junior Yanah Rolston led the way at 155 (78-77), making seven birdies for the day. Her opening round 78 boasted four birdies, including back-to-back birdies late in the round. In round two, she made three birdies and nine pars on way to a 5-over 77. She ended her day sitting 15th among the 71-player field. 

Rolston was tops among the field in par-5 scoring, playing them to 4-under for the day. She also ended the round tied for fourth overall with seven birdies. 

Sophomore Sydni Zebrauskas posted rounds of 81 and 83 and is tied for 47th and freshman Cassidy Ayres finished at 169 (85-84). Zebrauskas ended her opening round with back-to-back birdies as part of her three birdies in round one. 

Senior Nerea Lancho was countable in each round as well, posting scores of 89 and 82. She made a pair of birdies in round two and finished strong, playing her final three holes of the day to 1-under.  

Samford leads the field at 607 and is four shots ahead of second-place Queens-Charlotte heading into Tuesday's finish. Samford's Gabi Nicastro is atop the field at 3-under 141 while Wofford's Bella Kent and UNC Asheville's Caroline Patterson are both at 2-under 142. Teams will tee off at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
