MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – After winning just one out of three games last weekend against conference foe Purdue Fort Wayne, the Jaguars travel to Robert Morris to take on the Colonials in a three-game series. The Jags will play a doubleheader on Friday (April 15
th) with the first game starting at 1:00 PM and one game on Saturday (April 16
th) at 1:00 PM.
IUPUI enters the weekend 9-26 after earning a non-conference win on Tuesday over in state foe Ball State. The Jags are 6-6 in the Horizon League. Junior
Rachael Gregory leads the Jags at the plate batting .309 (29-for-94) with seven doubles, one home run and 14 RBI.
Maicey Bedrick leads the team in RBI with 16 while
Hailey Pop adds 10 RBI.
Sophomore
Madison Bryant posts a 2.98 ERA (42er/98.2ip) with 12 complete games, one of those a no-hitter against Youngstown State which earned her #HLSB Pitcher of the week. She holds a team-high 111 strikeouts.
Robert Morris is entering the weekend 19-13 overall and 8-3 in conference after a series win over Northern Kentucky. Freshman Jess Matheny leads the Colonials batting .321 (17-for-53) with seven RBI. Erika Bell holds a .302 batting average (26-for-86) with a team-high 21 RBI and eight doubles.
Fifth-year Taylor Rhinehart leads RMU with a 2.05 ERA (7er/30.2ip) with 30 strikeouts. Dana Vatakis has a team-high 62 strikeouts in 65.2 innings pitched for the Colonials.
The Jags last faced Robert Morris on April 17, 2021, when IUPUI defeated the Colonials, 5-4, after a four-run seventh inning at home.
