MEN'S TENNIS HEADS TO OHIO TO END THE SEASON

IUPUI will play two matches over the weekend, at Cleveland State and Youngstown State, to end the regular season.

CLEVELAND – IUPUI men's tennis closes out its regular season with the top seed in the Horizon League Tournament still in play. The Jags sit just one game back of Cleveland State and UIC with two matches left to play.

IUPUI (13-8, 3-1 Horizon) begins its final weekend of the regular season with a match at Cleveland State on Friday (April 19) at 1 p.m. The Jags last match of the regular season will be against Youngstown State on Saturday (April 20). The match against the Penguins will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The Jaguars won their last Horizon League match with a 5-2 win over Green Bay on Sunday (April 14). After dropping the doubles point, IUPUI won five of the six singles matches, including the first four matches to take the match against the Phoenix.

The back half of IUPUI's lineup has been the strongest this year with IUPUI holding a 12-8 record in the No. 6 spot and a 12-9 record in the No. 5 spot. Eric Hollingsworth leads the Jags with 14 singles wins and is 8-1 in No. 6 singles matches. Hollingsworth is also a perfect 4-0 in conference play. Alex Jochim, Bradley Luetschwager and Colton Morehart are all 3-1 in singles play in league play this year.

In doubles play, Sean Bailey and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono are a combined 10-5 when playing No. 3 doubles. Luetschwager and Kyle Whittaker are the best doubles team in conference play for IUPUI with a 2-1 mark. The duo is also 9-4 on the year.

SCOUTING REPORT
CLEVELAND STATE
Cleveland State has won six-straight matches and is coming off of back-to-back 6-1 wins over Northern Kentucky and Wright State.

The Vikings are 15-6 this season in both No. 1 and No. 5 singles matches and have three players that are a perfect 4-0 in Horizon League singles play.

In doubles play, Cleveland State has 12 wins in both the No. 1 spot and the No. 3 spot. The duo of Nico Mostardi and Benjamin Slade are 10-6 in No. 1 doubles play this season.

YOUNGSTOWN STATE
The Penguins have won two-straight matches after dropping a match to Cleveland State. In singles play, Joao Garretto leads the team with a 4-0 record in league play. Danylo Veremeichuk leads the team with a 19-11 record this season and is 9-7 in the No. 1 spot.

Youngstown State has not lost a doubles match this season in league play with a perfect 9-0 record. The duo of Pol Virgili Blanco and Yossi Dahan are 4-0 in league play with all four wins coming in the No. 6 matches.
