INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI will play two midweek games before hosting its second home Horizon League series of the season. The Jags will travel to Notre Dame on Tuesday (April 2) before playing host to Butler on Wednesday (April 3).
The game against the Fighting Irish will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ACCN Extra. IUPUI will then take on Butler with first pitch against the Bulldogs set for 5 p.m.
IUPUI (9-23, 4-1 Horizon) lost the first game of a three-game set against Youngstown State but had the last two games against the Penguins cancelled due to weather. In the loss to Youngstown State, the home run ball was on display for both teams as the two squads combined for seven home runs, including six solo shots.
McKenzie Loge,

Haley Ginger all hit home runs for the Jaguars.
Ginger continues to lead the Jags in most offensive categories, leading the team or tied for the team lead in doubles (7), home runs (4), RBI (18), slugging percentage (.516), walks (16) and on base percentage (.417). Ginger is second on the team with a .308 average behind
Delainey Turner who is hitting .316. Dallas is the team leader with 30 hits and 18 runs scored and tied with Ginger with 18 RBI.
Freshman
Lexi Lucas picked up the loss against the Penguins but continues to lead the team with a 5.69 average. The other three players to have pitched for head coach
Elisabeth Beirne all have ERAs over 9.00. Lucas has thrown the most innings by a large margin, throwing 117 innings compared to just 33.2 for
Amanda Melzoni, who is second on the team.
SCOUTING REPORT
Notre Dame – (20-12, 4-5 ACC)
Notre Dame lost its last game 6-8 to Syracuse and lost two-of-three to the Irish but in non-conference play, Notre Dame has won its last ten games. Ali Wester leads the team with a .412 average and 48 hits but Caitlyn Brooks has done the most damage with 12 home runs and 32 RBI to lead the team.
Three pitchers for Notre Dame have an ERA under 3.00 and Payton Tidd has a 2.86 ERA to go along with an 11-5 record. Alexis Holloway has thrown the second most innings on the squad and holds an 8-6 record with a 3.38 ERA.
All-time, the Jags are 1-4 against Notre Dame having lost four-straight. The most recent meetings came in 2016 and 17 with Notre Dame winning in five and six innings, respectively.
Butler – (11-20, 1-2 Big East)
Butler lost its last game against UIC last Wednesday (Mar. 27) before having its weekend series against Villanova cancelled due to weather.
Jenna Foreman is the best hitter for the Bulldogs at a .340 clip and three different Butler players have hit a team-leading two home runs. In the circle, Alyssa Graves leads the team in ERA (2.91), wins (4), innings pitched (86.2) and strikeouts (96).
The Jags and Bulldogs played each other in the season opener with Butler coming out on top 8-0. All-time IUPUI is 8-20 against Butler with the Bulldogs having won four-straight.
