Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Errors doomed IUPUI as the Jags dropped both games in the second day of the Razorback Invitational. IUPUI lost the first game of the day against Southeast Missouri State 5-3 before falling 17-5 to SIU Edwardsville in game two.

SEMO 5 – IUPUI 3
IUPUI could not overcome three errors as the Jags lost a late lead to Southeast Missouri State to start day two of the Razorback Invitational.

After SEMO took a lead early on a solo home run, IUPUI responded in the second as back-to-back singles put runners on the corners. A stolen base attempt led to a throwing error and Mandy Dallas came home to tie the game. After a fly out, Jaida Speth hit a sacrifice fly to right that scored Taytum Schaney and put IUPUI up 2-1.

The lead did not last long as in the bottom of the second, the lead-off batter for the Redhawks reached on an error and scored on a double in the next at bat.

The game remained tied until the top of the fifth when IUPUI put its first two runners on and with two outs, Kristin London walked to load the bases. Dallas came through with an infield single to put the Jags up 3-2.

To lead off the bottom of the frame an error in center field by Speth allowed the runner to get to third with no outs. IUPUI got a ground out but the tying run scored on the next at bat on a fielder's choice.

During the next at bat, a throwing error on a stolen base attempt moved the runner to third. Another bunt and stolen base put runners at second and third with one out. After a groundout, the Redhawks took the lead on another groundout that scored two runs.

IUPUI only managed to get one more runner on base in the next two innings but hit in to a double play in the top of the sixth to end any threat.

Both Sabrina Trevino and Dallas finished with two hits and the Jags managed six hits on the day. Freshman Lexi Lucas had a strong start spoiled by the Jaguars errors as Lucas went six innings allowing just one earned run on three hits and struck out two while allowing just one walk.

SIUE 17 – IUPUI 5 F/5
In the second game of the day, IUPUI was again done in by errors, committing four as SIU Edwardsville jumped all over the Jags 17-5.

The Cougars got things going with six runs in the top of the first, chasing Jags starter Dezirae Leonard after just two-thirds of an inning.

IUPUI tried to climb back in the game in the bottom of the inning scoring five runs. Maddie Keeley led off the inning with a walk and a single by Emily Berrisford, followed by a walk drawn by Haley Ginger loaded the bases. Mandy Dallas singled home Keeley and two batters later, Delaney Thompson drove in two with a double. McKenzie Loge followed Thompson with a two RBI single and the Jags pulled within one.

That was the closest IUPUI would come as SIUE would score two in the top of the second and three in each of the next three innings. In total, IUPUI surrendered five unearned runs over the last 3.2 innings.
