INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI men's tennis team is back home for a home match against Eastern Illinois on Friday (Jan. 26) at 1 p.m.
The Jags (1-2) went 1-1 over the past weekend with a home win against Belmont before falling to Dayton.
Senior
Bradley Luetschwager has started off the spring season undefeated in singles matches at 3-0. Luetschwager has won each match at the No. 4 singles position on two sets.
Freshman
Ethan Mardanus-Budiono has also played very well early in the season, holding a 2-1 singles record at the No. 5 spot, winning at Michigan State and Belmont. Mardanus-Budiono also earned a doubles win against Belmont with teammate
Jac Newis. Newis and
Michael Koch each also have one singles win this year coming against Belmont.
The Jags last faced Eastern Illinois on Feb. 11, 2017 and IUPUI earned a 6-1 win over the Panthers. In the match, IUPUI won all three doubles matches and took five of the six singles matches.
IUPUI's will be on the road for its next two matches when the Jags take on Kentucky on Feb. 2 and Iowa on Feb. 11.
