INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI men's tennis team will play its first home match of the 2018 season when the Jags welcome Belmont to the West Indy Racquet Club on Saturday (Jan. 20). The match against the Bruins will begin at 3:30 p.m.

IUPUI (0-1) enters the match having lost to Michigan State to begin the spring season. The Jags fell to the Spartans, 5-2. Bradley Luetschwager and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono each picked up singles wins with Luetschwager winning 6-4, 6-3 and Mardanus-Budio grabbing a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

Belmont (0-1) enters the match having lost its first match of the season 6-1 to Tennessee. The only win for the Bruins came at the No. 3 singles spot with Hendrick Inno winning 6-4, 2-6, 13-11.

Last season, IUPUI and Belmont met in Nashville, Tenn., with the Bruins winning 7-0.

After the meeting with Belmont, IUPUI will be on the road Sunday (Jan. 21) when the take on the Dayton Flyers at 10 a.m.

The Flyers have not played yet this season, their first match of the season coming on Saturday, Jan. 20 when they take on Toledo.

Dayton has been a regular opponent for the Jags but IUPUI has not had much success against the Flyers as Dayton has won the last four meetings. IUPUI's last win in the series came in 2013 with a 4-3 win in Dayton.
