INDIANAPOLIS – Looking to bounce back from three consecutive dual-meet losses after winning back-to-back meets, the IUPUI men's tennis team (2-5) is scheduled for a single meet this Saturday (Feb. 11) against Eastern Illinois (1-5) at 7:30 p.m. EST in the West Indy Racquet Club. 
 
After victories against Cardinal Stritch and Chicago State, the Jags have come up just short in three tightly-contested battles with UIndy, Dayton and Michigan State.  No loss came by more than two points, as their most recent bout with the Spartans went to MSU 3-4.  The team has an 18-23 combined singles record in dual-meets this season, as Bradley Luetschwager and Marcus Nalley lead the team with 4-2 showings.  Luetschwager has already earned a Summit League Player of the Week award this season.
 
Luetschwager and teammate David Beasley have seen the best production in doubles play out of the No. 1 spot, as the duo has a combined 3-4 record.  Beasley has also been very productive in singles play, going 3-4 on the year.
 
Eastern Illinois was recently dropped by Illinois State 2-5 on Feb. 4, a day after the team earned its first dual-meet victory of the season against St. Francis.  The team had previously lost four-straight, and have scored no more than two points in each loss this season.
 
Admission to the event is free and all persons are encouraged to attend the indoor meet Saturday evening.
