KETTERING, Ohio - Senior Aneta Abrahamova captured her fifth career tournament win, needing five playoff holes to emerge from a three-player tie at 145 (72-73). The savvy veteran nearly pitched in on the fifth playoff hole to get past Dayton's Ellie Cronin and Western Illinois' Bridget Connolly.

The group played hole Nos. 18 and 1 repeatedly until Abrahamova made a birdie to earn the tournament win.

"It was an awesome experience to play five holes of a playoff with two other players," Abrahamova said. "When we came to hole No. 1 the last time, I hit the best pitch shot under such pressure. I almost holed it in for an eagle.

"Huge thanks goes to Colby. It was crazy how he kept me in the right mindset and gave me confidence to hit every shot. He had just helped me so much out there with every decision. My teammates were awesome during the playoff as well."

As a team, the Jaguars slid to a tie for fourth on day two, carding a final round 309 to finish at 606 (297-309). Findlay won the team title at 595 (293-302) to edge former Summit League foe Western Illinois by a single shot. IUPUI finished tied with crosstown foe Butler and four shots ahead of Horizon League opponent Oakland.

While Abrahamova collected medalist honors, freshman Amelie Svejda also earned a top-five finish, carding a final round season-best 1-over 71 to end up at 147 (76-71). Fellow freshman Hafdis Johannsdottir ended up at 153 (73-80) to give the Jags a formidable top three.

"My irons were the best part of my game today as they were very consistent," Svejda said. "I was able to birdie all four par-3's. Overall, I was quite happy with my game."

Junior Elizabeth Orr ended her tournament at 164 (76-88) and true freshman Nicole Howard closed at 165 (80-85) with a countable final round of 85.

Abrahamova pulled even with former IUPUI standout Kristi O'Brien (2008-12) with a school record five tournament wins.

The Jags will cap the fall schedule at the Charles Braun Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Evansville at Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville. The two-day tournament will run from Oct. 23-24.
