RICHMOND, Ky. - Sophomore Aneta Abrahamova captured her third career title with a 54-hole 218 (71-71-76), helping the Jaguars to a fifth-place finish at the EKU Colonel Classic at Arlington Golf Club. After back-to-back rounds of 1-under par helped her build a seven-shot lead, Abrahamova coasted to the tournament win with a final round 76.

Collectively, the Jags were unable to climb on Saturday (Apr. 2) with a final round 317, despite three Jaguars finishing among the tournament top-10. Junior Erin Ingram closed in seventh at 231 (75-79-77) and MeKenzie Hilsmeyer tied for eighth at 232 (78-78-76).

"Today's conditions were difficult since it was windy," Abrahamova said. "I'm happy with my overall score and performance at this tournament. It felt good to shoot under par the first two rounds and being plus two after three rounds is one of my best scores.

"We have one more tournament before conference, so we look forward to competing."

Abrahamova shattered the school record for a 54-hole score, eclipsing the previous mark of 224.

Sophomore Nicole Toledano returned to the Jaguars' lineup with a two-day 255 (83-84-88) and freshman Lindsey Hackleman capped the crew at 258 (84-83-91). Fellow freshman Elizabeth Orr closed with her best round of the tournament, firing a final round 83 while playing as an individual.

IUPUI will close the regular season when they compete against Valparaiso at the Crusader/Jaguar Challenge on Apr. 11.
