Whether designated hitting for the Jags or playing in the outfield, success at the plate could make Good what coach Rivera referred to as a "difference maker".
"Good could be one of the scariest hitters in the Midwest," Rivera said. "It is unbelievable how she hits the ball when she is on. I hope she has a big year."
Sarah Lawrence - Sr.2015 statistics - 184 avg, 20 runs, 17 RBI, .257 OBPLawrence comes in to her senior year having started all 50 games that she played in last season. Coach Rivera noted that Lawrence is always one of the hardest workers on the team and hopes that work ethic will show this season.
"Her drive to get stronger is amazing. She is always working on something," said Rivera. "Hopefully that is all going to pay off for her this year."
NewcomersThe Jags bring in six newcomers to the team this season, and coach Rivera thinks that all six will be able to help IUPUI.
Erica Tharp,
Maggie Armstrong and
Kaitlynn Moody should all see some time in the circle, with Armstrong being able to play anywhere according to Rivera.
Rivera hopes that Moody will be a strong contributor to the pitching staff but will also play first if she is not pitching.
Katy Johnson and
Kristin London are both utility players that could both play infield and catch, while
Maddy Griffin will be a utility outfielder.
