INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI softball team returns home on Tuesday, April 14, when it welcomes Northern Kentucky to the IUPUI Softball Complex for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
The Jaguars are 25-12 entering Tuesday's action, including 8-4 when playing on its home field. The Norse are 5-26 on the season, but four of those five wins have come on the road.
IUPUI is coming off another Summit League series win after taking two of three from Western Illinois last weekend in Macomb, Ill.
Maggie Good led the way offensively hitting .667 for the week with four RBI, upping her season average by 40 points.
Ali Mosier and
Roni Patterson continue to pace the offense with .350 and .349 averages, respectively.
Emili Escamilla picked up both of IUPUI's wins last weekend upping her record to 10-3, giving the Jags two pitchers with double-digit wins. Escamilla,
Brooke Boetjer and
Nickole Finch collectively own an ERA of 2.41.
The Norse are hitting .263 entering Tuesday and they are led by Dani Devlin, who is the team leader in nearly all major hitting categories. Devlin has a team-high .413 average, nine home runs and 25 RBI. NKU's pitching staff has an ERA of 8.84 and its opponents are hitting .404.
