INDIANAPOLIS – The midway point of the Summit League softball schedule arrives this weekend when the IUPUI softball team heads to Macomb, Ill., for a three-game series with the Western Illinois Leathernecks.
After having its Tuesday doubleheader at Indiana State postponed due to rain, the Jags remain at 23-11 overall and 5-4 in the Summit League. Their conference record puts them in a tie for second place with Omaha and two games back of Summit League leader North Dakota State, while Western Illinois is in sixth place with a 2-4 league mark.
The Leathernecks own a commanding 46-12 lead in the all-time series, but the Jaguars have won four of the last six including a 10-2 Summit League Tournament win over WIU last season.

Ali Mosier hit six of the 14 homers last week upping her season total to 12, which tied her with Mia Ettl (2007-10) for the program's single-season record and places her first in the conference in that category.
The Jags have a trio of players that also rank in the Top 10 in the conference in RBI with
Eryn Dillon ranking seventh with 29, Mosier sitting in eighth with 28, and Patterson tied for ninth with 26.
In the circle, the Jags trio of
