INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI softball team puts its four-game winning streak on the line on Wednesday (April 9) when it returns to the IUPUI Softball Complex to host in-state rival Indiana State for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. ET.

The Jags have reeled off four straight wins, including a three-game Summit League sweep of South Dakota State last weekend – its first conference sweep since the 2010 campaign. If the Jags were to emerge with a pair of victories on Wednesday, it would mark the first time since the 1999 season that IUPUI would be above .500 this late in the season.

The Jaguars offense has been red hot as of late hitting at a collective .422 clip over the last four games. During that stretch, they are averaging 11.25 runs per game and all nine starters are hitting over .300, including seven that are hitting over .400 led by Lindsey Richard's and her .545 average. Ali Mosier and Maggie Good have been the team's leading run producers over the last four game driving in seven runs apiece, while Sarah Lawrence is right behind them with six RBI. Last week, Mosier hit .474 with a homer and eight RBI resulting in her being named The Summit League Player of the Week.

While the opposition's ERA has been 9.43 since March 31, the trio of Cassie Vodde, Nikki Thomas and Jocelyn Oppenhuis have combined for a 4.67 ERA highlighted by Vodde's 2.84 ERA in 12.1 innings of work.

Indiana State comes into midweek action with a 19-17 overall record. It has seven players hitting above .300 on the season led by Kassie Brown's and Kelsey Montgomery's .390 average. Megan Stone has driven in a team-best 23 runs this season and has belted a team-high four homers, while Morgan Allee has been a force on the base paths with 23 stolen bases.

The Sycamores and Jaguars faced each other early this season in Bowling Green, Ky., with ISU claiming a 3-2 victory.
