INDIANPOLIS, Ind. - The Jaguars (3-14, 1-0) will travel to Fort Wayne this Saturday (Mar. 29) to take on the Mastodons (11-5, 2-0) in their second conference matchup of the season. A win would put the Jaguars at 2-0 in conference after they defeated Western Illinois 6-0 last weekend.
The Mastodons fared much better than the Jaguars out of conference, going 9-5 and winning two matches against opponents that beat IUPUI. They started their conference season similarly though, sweeping Western Illinois, and will bring a 2-0 conference record into the match.
While IUPUI and IPFW have split the last six times they met, IUPU won the most recent matchup 4-2 last April.
Jason Jaruvang led the Jaguars at No. 1 singles yielding only three games in the match.
The Jaguars will try to break up the recent trend of home-court advantage in the series. The home team has won the last three matchups and Saturday's match, which begins at 3 p.m. ET, will be hosted by IPFW.
