INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Call the men's tennis team what you will, but they're certainly not boring. For the second time in as many days they played to a single-point loss. After wrapping up the doubles point the Jaguars needed three victories in singles to win the match. With only Jacob Bradley in the No. 4 spot remaining on the court the match was tied 3-3 with Saint Louis holding a 3-2 edge in singles. Bradley lost the opening set 6-4 but forced a third set in the deciding match with a 6-4 victory of his own in the second. It wasn't meant to be though as SLU's Luis Miguel Flores pulled away for the 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory and a 4-3 win for his team. 

Junior Alex Toliver continued to shine with his third singles win in a row. He improved his tiebreak record this season to 2-0 after the first set breaker and took down the third set with ease for a 6-5 (7), 4-6, 6-2 victory. 

Jason Jaruvang moved to the No. 2 singles spot after a loss in the first spot on Saturday. This time he came out on top with a 6-3, 6-5 (3) win. 

Switching Toliver and Jaruvang is something head coach Brandon Currie has talked about and it worked out perfectly against SLU with each coming up victorious. 

The rest of the singles matches weren't as successful for the Jaguars. Thomas Gans and Patrick O'Neill each lost in straight sets and Akshay Verma fell 6-3 in the third set. 

With doubles victories in both No 1. and No. 2 doubles, the Jaguars improved their team doubles win-percentage to 4-5. 

IUPUI will have five days off before their next match against Marquette in Milwaukee this Saturday (Jan. 25) at 2 p.m.
