BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The IUPUI men's golf team was unable to move up on the final round of the NYX Hoosier Invitational on Sunday (Apr. 7), shooting a final round 308 to finish 18th overall with a team score of 922.

Host Indiana won the event with a 2-under 850 and Illinois State was second at 855.

Freshman Austin Winings shot a final round 4-over 75 to lead the Jaguars on Sunday and finished the tournament at 234 (77-82-75). Sophomore Cole Adams was IUPUI's top finisher overall at 230 (76-76-78), tying for 66th among the 90-player field. Classmate Santiago Ruiz finished one shot back at 231 (75-77-79) and junior Rob van de Vin ended at 234 (84-74-76).

Senior Matt Bruce rounded out the Jaguars' lineup at 238 (80-79-79).

Indiana's Andrew Fogg won medalist honors at 5-under 208 and the duo of David Mills from Indiana and Tyler Gentilella of Illinois State were runner-up at 209.

Instead of returning to Indianapolis, the Jaguars will continue the busy week tomorrow with the opening day of the COG Mizzou Intercollegiate at The Club at Old Hawthorne. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday (Apr. 8), followed by a final round on Tuesday (Apr. 9).
