KELLER, Texas - Junior Rob van de Vin led the Jaguars on the final day of The Summit League Championships, shooting a final round 1-over 73 and finished tied for 15th among the 45-player field at Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club.

The Jaguars shot a final round 305 and placed seventh of nine teams at 940 (311-324-305) in the three-day tournament. Kansas City earned the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament by winning this week's championships, shooting 880 to coast to a 19-shot victory. South Dakota (899), South Dakota State (912), Western Illinois (917) and North Dakota State (924) made up the top five.

van de Vin finished the season on a high note with just one bad hole marring his round on Wednesday (Apr. 24). After starting with a birdie and par, van de Vin made a triple bogey on on the 407-yard, par-4 third hole, but immediately rebounded with back-to-back birdies to get back to even par. After making consecutive bogeys on seven and eight, he played bogey free for the final 10 holes to close at 1-over. He finished the tournament at 14-over 230 (77-80-73).

IUPUI's two other returners also fared well on Wednesday as both Cole Adams and classmate Santiago Ruiz shooting 2-over 74.

Adams put together a consistent round, making two bogeys and a birdie on both the front and back nine, ending his tournament at 238 (79-85-74). Ruiz made four birdies in his final round, including three in a four hole stretch on the back nine.

The Jaguars' two freshmen didn't finish quite as strongly as Austin Winings posted a final round 84 and ended the tournament tied for 28th at 238 (78-76-84). Fellow freshman Jordan Lenard finished at 245 (77-83-85) in his first postseason appearance.

Kansas City had the tournament's top three finishers, led by Korbin Kuehn's 216 (69-78-69) and Antoine Rozner's 217 (69-75-73). Teammate Nathan Hughes fired a 220 (76-73-71) to take third place. They were joined on the All-Tournament Team by Bill Carlson (NDSU) and Nate Davis (WIU). Kuehn earned Championship MVP honors and Rozner was Newcomer of the Championship.

IUPUI is expected to return virtually its entire roster next season with Matt Bruce being the team's lone senior. van de Vin led the Jaguars with a 75.55 stroke average in his first full collegiate season and Ruiz registered a 76.63 in full-time action. The promising to-be sophomore class is keyed by Lenard and Winings.
