AUSTIN, Texas - The IUPUI women's golf team sits in 12th place of 13 teams after shooting 616 (311-305) at the Challenge of Onion Creek on Monday (Apr. 1). Sophomore Yuri Otsuka led the IUPUI lineup at 10-over 150 (76-74) and Ana Fernandez de Mesa shot 154 (79-75) on Monday.

Gonzaga leads the field at 567 and host Texas State is second at 573. TSU's Krista Puisite leads the 68-player field at 2-under 138 (68-70) and Gonzaga's Han Wu is second at 139 (71-68).

Otsuka's day began with a bogey and a triple bogey on her second and third holes before she reeled off nine straight pars. Her second round included three birdies, offset by two double bogeys en route to a 4-over 74.

Like Otsuka, Fernandez de Mesa also had three birdies during her final round on her way to a 75.

Senior Jordan Woods finished the day at 158 (82-76) and classmate Lauren Kuss is one shot off her pace at 159 (79-80). The lineup's third senior, Jordan Essman, finished the day at 164 (77-87).

IUPUI leads only Summit League foe South Dakota State and enters Tuesday's final round four shots back of Stephen F. Austin. The Jaguars will conclude play on Tuesday (Apr. 2) beginning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. IUPUI will be paired with SDSU and have players tee off holes 15 through 18 at the start.
