JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore women's golfer Kelli Witt finished tied for second among the 33-player field at the Bulldog Florida Invitational as the Jaguars recently capped the Spring Break trip at Windsor Parke Golf Club. Witt entered the tournament's final round and ultimately finished one stroke off the lead. 

IUPUI did not participate in the tournament's team scoring, instead just entering four individuals.

Witt shot a career-low first round 76 and followed with an 80 on Thursday, falling one shot back of Butler's Jenna Peters. Junior Ana Fernandez de Mesa also showed well, placing fourth at 157 (79-78).

Sophomore Carolyn Kupchik came in at 172 (85-87) and redshirt freshman Maria Krempp finished at 176 (91-85).

Host Butler won the tournament by a 32-shot margin, shooting 649 over two days.

IUPUI will return to action on Mar. 25-26 when the Jaguars participate in the Butler Spring Invitational at Prestwick Country Club in Avon, Ind..
