INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI softball team hosts its final home series of the 2012 series this weekend and seniors 
Leah Prewitt and 
Samantha Bumbaugh will play their final home games in an IUPUI uniform when the Jaguars take on in-state rival IPFW beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 28.
Saturday's doubleheader is set to begin at 4 p.m., while Game 2 on Saturday will begin approximately 30 minutes following the completion of Game 1. First pitch for Sunday's series finale is slated for Noon.
Prior to the start of Sunday's games, both Bumbaugh and Prewitt will be recognized for their contributions to the program.
The Jags are coming off a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday over Eastern Illinois to improve to 17-30 overall, and in both games the Jags were able to hold on for one-run victories. In Game 2, the Jags used an impressive pitching performance from 
Nikki Thomas and a solo home run from Prewitt to capture the 1-0 win.
IPFW comes into the weekend with a 37-11 overall record and a 12-4 Summit League mark. The Mastodons are led offensively by Alex Bousquet and Ashleigh Bousquet, who have combined for 12 home runs and 91 RBI. The 12 home runs between the duo account for 40 percent of the team total and the 91 RBI amount to roughly 42 percent of the squads RBI total.
In the circle, the pitching trio of Courtney Cronin, Megan Flenniken and Miranda Kramer have a cumulative ERA of 1.66 and have combined for 297 strikeouts compared to just 123 walks.
