COLUMBUS, Ind. - The IUPUI women's golf team concluded play at the rain shortened Indiana Invitational at Otter Creek Golf Course, finishing 13th among the 15-team field with a score of 648 (325-323). No. 35 Louisville won the tournament at 593 while Eastern Michigan was second at 615.

Originally scheduled for 54 holes, the tournament was reduced to 36 after weather wreaked havoc on Monday's play. Play was suspended twice on Monday before being halted around 4:30. Round one was concluded on Tuesday morning, followed immediately by the final round.

Louisville dominated the top of the leaderboard as Maria Castellanos earned medalist honors at 145 (+1) and teammates Sara-Maude Juneau and AnnaKarin Ljungstrom tied for second at 147.

Sophomore Jordan Essman fared best for the Jags, shooting a two-day 156 (78-78) to tie for 19th among the 86-player field. She had three birdies in the first round, but also had seven bogeys and a double bogey. In round two, she was more steady, registering six bogeys and 12 pars.

Junior Kristi O'Brien tied for 31st at 158 (80-78) and Lauren Kuss came in at 165 (84-81). Kuss was +8 at the turn of round two, but rallied with birdies on her final two par-3's to finish at 81.

Sophomore Jordan Woods and junior Melanie Pray both finished at 170.

This tournament served as IUPUI's final primer before The Summit League Tournament, scheduled for Primm Valley in Primm, Nev. on Apr. 18-19.
