INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Athletics Department and Head Women’s Golf Coach John Andrews announced that Kelli Witt (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Jagaurs, beginning in the fall 2011. Witt was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Fishers High School and qualified for the IHSAA State Finals in 2009.

She earned All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference in 2010 and was a two-time HCC Honorable Mention performer in her career.

Her junior season, she placed fourth at sectionals and third in regionals to accompany two other top 10 finished during the year. Her low round of the year came in the Regionals when she fired a 76 at Westwood. Fishers advanced to Regionals while Witt earned an individual spot at the state tournament. She was named Team MVP after the season and had an 82.8 18-hole stroke average.

"Kelli comes from a family of outstanding players. She really understands the game and understands what it takes to excel," Andrews said. "She works hard on her game and is only going to get better as she focuses solely on golf.

"We’re excited to add her to the mix. I think she’s going to have an outstanding career as an IUPUI Jaguar."

Witt is IUPUI’s first signee for the 2011-12 season. The Jaguars ranked sixth in The Summit in stroke average this past fall at 318.92.
