ELMHURST, Ill. - IUPUI senior Tyler Zink has been named The Summit League Co-Men's Golfer of the Week for the week ending on April 1. Zink shared the honor with Oral Roberts' Terance Begnel and becomes the third IUPUI golfer to win the award in succession, following Ben Engle and Ian Pavlechko. It's the second time in his collegiate career that Zink's won the weekly award.

This marks the first time since 2006 that student-athletes from the same school captured three consecutive League Men's Golfer of the Week Awards.

The fifth-year veteran carded a 147 (76-71) at the weather shortened Ball State Cardinal Collegiate at Sultan's Run Golf Club in Jasper, Ind. over the weekend. He tied for fourth among the 75-player field while the Jaguars tied for eighth of 14 teams participating.

Zink's 147 was his best 36-hole score of the season and the second-lowest of his collegiate career. His second round 71 was two shots off his best score of the season.

For the year, Zink leads IUPUI in stroke average (74.65) and is tied for the team lead in rounds played (17). His current stroke average ranks tenth in The Summit.

IUPUI returns to action on April 11-12 when it takes part in the adidas Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind..
