INDIANAPOLIS - Visiting Oakland got a complete game five-hitter from senior hurler Jessica Granger and drilled a pair of homers on its way to a 7-1 win over IUPUI on a picturesque Sunday afternoon. The win gave the Golden Grizzlies a 2-1 series win after the two teams had split Saturday's doubleheader at the IUPUI Softball Complex.

Sophomore Amy Raker provided a highlight offensively on Sunday, drilling her second homerun of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Oakland (8-14, 2-1 Summit) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when Katie Dreyer bounced a two-out single back up the middle, plating Leah DiCristofaro. However, it was a five-run third inning that ultimately turned the game as the guests sent 11 batters to the dish in the frame.

The first two runs came home on some sloppy IUPUI (2-17, 1-2) defense behind starter Samantha Bumbaugh. With runners on the corners, Stephanie Schall attempted to steal second base. The throw trying to cut down the runner went wide of second base and rolled all the way to the fence, allowing both runners to score easily.

Later, Angela Righetti blasted a towering three-run homer to center off Lauren Popov, who came on to relieve Bumbaugh.

Caitlin Lynch led off the fourth inning with a solo shot to left to make it 7-0.

Raker went 1-for-3 with a homer and worked four innings of scoreless relief in the circle for the Jags. Bumbaugh (1-4) allowed eight hits and five runs in 2.2 innings work.

Granger continued her dominance over the Jags, striking out nine in the complete game victory. Offensively, Lynch and DiCristofaro had two hits apiece for the Golden Grizzlies.

IUPUI continues its current 12-game homestand on Tuesday when it plays host to Minnesota in a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader. Live stats will be available on IUPUIJags.com.
